Godavari: The
famous Godavari River which is also called ‘Ganga of South India”
flows through the central part of the district from west to east, virtually
dividing the city in two parts. |
Manjara: The River flows along the eastern boundary
of the district towards the north. Later it meets the Godavari. Manyad and
Lendi which are the tributaries of the river.

Penganga: The River flows
along the northern boundary of the district. Kayadhu is the tributary of the
river. The famous Sahastrakund falls on the river.
