| Important Guidelines |
| |
| 1. The scheme shall be implemented in the State of Maharashtra. |
| 2. The tour packages being made available to tourists should be based on the following: |
| a) Agriculture. |
| b) Nature. |
| c) Adventure Sports. |
| d) Historical and Archaeological Heritage. |
| e) Arts, Crafts, Food & Beverages. |
| f) Environment-cum-forests. |
| g) Customs, Traditions and Lifestyle. |

| 3. The tour packages should be different from traditional tourism and should be unique experience in themselves; |
| 4. Trained Guides or volunteers giving authentic information should be available; |
| 5. The safety of the individual tourist as well as his baggage should be taken care of; |
| 6. Adequate measures to maintain cleanliness and hygiene at the place. |
| 7. Toilets, Accommodation, Food and Beverages should be of good standard; |
| 8. An entrepreneur should have authentic knowledge of Maharashtra’s Arts, Crafts, Cuisine and should help directly / indirectly to promote the same; |
| 9. MTDC’s designated Officer will have the right to visit the scheme / project and the Service Provider shall provide all the necessary information required by such an officer |
| 10. If there are complaints on the scheme / project, and if they are found to be true, MTDC will have the right to cancel the registration of such a scheme / project. Nevertheless, and opportunity to rectify or to give explanation will be given to concerned. |
